I would bet you most people that know me would for sure say I came out of the womb reading and writing. I love to read and write. Some would say it’s a passion , but I would call it a great part of my life. Writing can do wonders that I’m sure I have yet to discover , but I have discovered enough to go on the journey called My Writing History . What’s a story if it’s untold?
I have learned many things in my lifetime about reading and writing. I have learned proper grammar, spelling description, details, organization, introduction, editing, revising, and format. I definitely wouldn’t say I’m the best reader/writer but I know I’m good. I may be good but I have plenty to learn.
I like just about everything in reading and writing. I like that when I’m reading how I can get sucked in the story and I’m zoned out of reality. I absolutely adore vampire books because they give me my dose of good fiction. I like writing because it gives you that time to express your feelings and imagination. I take advantage of writing whenever I can.
I have many good experiences with reading and writing. I wouldn’t say I have any bad experiences with reading and writing because failure makes you better and I wouldn’t consider that a failure. My experience that I was most proud of was in 5th grade. I won my D.A.R.E essay contest against the rest of the class. My D.A.R.E essay was great , it had everything that you would expect from a 5th grader and more. Me , I expect greater of myself to be the best I can be and give 110% all the time, every time.
I have had many failures in writing. I would definitely say my failures have helped me become the writer/ reader I am today. I know I can’t remember all my failures, but I know I’ve made some, who hasn’t? The people around me have helped me with their feedback. Though I may not like my feedback at first, I know it helps in the long run.
I remember in the 2nd grade my teacher gave the class a writing book. I was one of the two people to finish last. Even though I thought I was a horrible writer because I finished last, I realized I was greater because I took my time to write carefully. That experience helped me very much.
My feelings have changed tremendously over time about reading and writing. I have come to love reading and writing more than ever. I’m sure my feelings will change the more I go on in life and the more I learn, but I’m pleased to have the feelings I do now because they make me , me. I will continue , overtime , to change and I’m positive the reader and writer I am in the future will be wonderful.
